Local Roots Dental Hygiene is proud to serve the people of Northumberland County. We are committed to helping people reach their oral and overall health goals through providing customized dental hygiene care of the highest quality!
We are an Independent Hygiene practice, which means that we operate independently of a dentist. You can come visit Local Roots Dental Hygiene for your regular preventive care. You then visit your dentist as required for checkups and x-rays and other dental treatment. We also have the ability to refer to other dental and medical professionals as required. Team work makes the dream work!

We follow the Ontario Dental Hygienist's Association fee guide, and our fees are generally lower than in a traditional dental office.
We accept most dental insurance plans and we offer direct billing for your convenience.

Liz Rylance, Registered Dental Hygienist
Local Roots Dental Hygiene is owned and operated by Liz Rylance in Cobourg, Ontario.
Liz graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Algonquin College in 2002 and became an independent dental hygienist in 2020. Her goal is to build lasting relationships with her clients by providing personalized, thorough and gentle care to her clients in a welcoming and calm environment.
Liz is a member in good standing of the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, as well as the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association.
When she is not elbow-deep in an oral cavity, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
